St. James’ House, the headquarters of Washington Heritage Museums, is open just two weeks each year, and this week you can view the home for yourself! Beginning today and concluding on Saturday, April 28, you can experience St. James’ House’s Spring Opening.
The house is located at 1300 Charles Street in downtown Fredericksburg. This Revolutionary-era house was built on land once owned by Fielding Lewis, brother-in-law to George Washington. The home is open during Garden Week, the first week in October, and by appointment for group tours.
This is your chance to explore and learn the history of this beautiful home through its collection of antiques and artwork. Admission is $5 per person for adults, and $2 per child.
