From Fredericksburg Academy
Ravyn Galimore, a 2017 graduate of Fredericksburg Academy, currently a freshman at Clemson University, is already doing big things. Not long after her first semester of college began, Ravyn saw an opening for a graphic design assistant in Clemson’s Athletics Department. This was billed as a graduate-level position, but that did not stop Ravyn from pursuing the opportunity. The design portfolio Ravyn brought with her from her high school experience at Fredericksburg Academy set her above the graduate-level competition and Ravyn received the position.
As the youngest member of Clemson Athletics’ graphic design team, she’s been broadening design and programming skills and developing her personal style. She’ll soon be taking her talents to NBC Sports for a summer internship.
From June through August, Ravyn will be supporting the executive and graphic departments at NBC Sports headquartered in Stamford, CT, as well as travelling to parent NBCUniversal headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York, NY.
Ravyn attributes much of her success to her high school experience through which she began her journey into the world of design by working on the school yearbook and by assisting members of the administrative team with redesigning Fredericksburg Academy’s website. More of Ravyn’s work can be found here on her personal website.
Way to go Rayvn!
