Interstate 95 Bridge Rehabilitation Project
Work is underway to improve the deck and substructure on several bridges located on I-95 in Stafford and Spotsylvania.
Stafford County: I-95 Bridge over Potomac Creek at mile marker 137
The I-95 bridges over Potomac Creek are located just before Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) at mile marker 137.
· I-95 Southbound:
o Monday – Thursday, 6 a.m. ˗˗ 10 a.m.

· I-95 Northbound:

Interstate 95 (Exit 140/Courthouse Road)
Work is underway on a project to improve the I-95 interchange at Exit 140 (Route 630/Courthouse Road). The project includes building a diverging diamond interchange at Exit 140, relocating the Courthouse Road and Route 1 intersection to the south to align with Hospital Center Boulevard, and widening Courthouse Road to four lanes from Cedar Lane to Ramoth Church Road.
I-95 Northbound at Exit 140
(New) Wednesday ˗˗ Friday, 9:30 a.m. ˗˗ 3:30 p.m. Expect a single, right lane closure on I-95 northbound near the Exit 140 interchange to allow crews to install temporary traffic barriers for the project. Expect brief delays.
Route 630 (Courthouse Road)
(Update) Sunday – Thursday, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. Expect alternating, one-way traffic on Courthouse Road between Austin Ridge Drive to Wyche Road for water line work. This is a Stafford County project. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Expect brief delays.
Tuesday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. ˗˗ 2 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. ˗˗ 12 p.m. Courthouse Road will be reduced to one lane from Austin Ridge Drive to Red Oak Drive. Crews will be working near the I-95/Exit 140 interchange.
Tuesday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. ˗˗ 2 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. ˗ 12 p.m. Expect alternating, one-way traffic on Courthouse Road between Cedar Lane and Walpole Street for grading and pipe work as part of the widening project.

Winding Creek Road at Courthouse Road
Tuesday – Thursday, 9 a.m. ˗˗ 2 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. ˗ 12 p.m. Expect alternating, one-way traffic on Winding Creek Road for grading and pipe work as part of the widening project. Flaggers will direct drivers through the interchange and work zone. Expect brief delays.
Interstate 95 Exit 130/Route 3/Fredericksburg Interchange Improvement Project
Construction is underway to improve safety on Interstate 95 and Route 3 at the Exit 130 interchange in Fredericksburg. Motorists should be prepared for the following lane closures, construction activity, and temporary traffic shifts on Route 3, I-95 at Exit 130 and/or Central Park shopping area.

Interstate 95 at Exit 118/Mudd Tavern Road Widening and Bridge Replacement Project
Crews are working to improve the interchange on Interstate 95 at Exit 118 (Mudd Tavern Road). The project will build a new I-95 overpass and improve on and off-ramps on Mudd Tavern Road, improve Mudd Tavern Road east of I-95, and Mallard Road.

Tuesday – Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Expect a single, left lane on I-95 northbound closed at the interchange for construction activities. Expect brief delays.
Route 606 (Mudd Tavern Road)

Route 608 (Benchmark Road) CLOSED
(New) As of Monday, Feb. 19, Benchmark Road is closed to through traffic between Route 17 and Mine Road. The road will remain closed for approximately four months to replace three deteriorated drainage pipes. Drivers are encouraged to use the recommended detour of Route 2 (Tidewater Trail) and Route 17 (Mills Drive).
Route 609 (Jim Morris Road)
(New) Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Expect alternating, one-way traffic on Route 609 (Jim Morris Road) between Route 17 (Mills Drive) and Wheatland Woods Drive for pipe work. Access to driveways will be maintained for residents who live in this section of Jim Morris Road. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Expect brief delays.
Route 610 (Elys Ford Road)

Tuesday – Wednesday, 7 p.m. – 5 a.m. Expect alternating, single lane closures on Route 3 (Main Street) from Claybrook Avenue to Brent Street for roadway improvements. Expect brief, overnight delays.
Route 200 (Irvington Road)
(Update) Tuesday – Friday, 7 p.m. – 5 a.m. Expect alternating, single lane closures on Route 200 (Irvington Road) northbound and southbound from Second Avenue to Main Street, Black Stump Road to White Pine Drive, and near School Street for roadway improvements. Expect brief, overnight delays.
Lancaster County/Middlesex County Work Zone
Route 3 and Robert O. Norris Bridge
Temporary traffic signals are installed at the center spans of the Norris Bridge on Route 3 between Lancaster and Middlesex counties. Two temporary signals control one-way, alternating traffic at the bridge’s center spans 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Crews are using the closed lane to paint the center spans of the bridge over the Rappahannock River. The signals will remain in place until the end of the painting project in June 2018.

Route 360 (Northumberland Highway)
(New) Tuesday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Expect alternating, single lane closures on Route 360 (Northumberland Highway) near Route 612 (Forrest Landing Road) for guardrail repairs. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Expect brief delays.
Richmond County Work Zone
Route 3 (Historyland Highway) at Richmond Hill Road
(New) Tuesday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Expect alternating, single lane closures on Route 3 (Historyland Highway) near Route 620 (Richmond Hill Road) for guardrail repairs. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Expect brief delays.
Route 3 at Route 608 (Farnham Creek Road)
Tueday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Route 3 will be reduced to a single lane just west of the intersection with Route 608 (Farnham Creek Road) for an emergency pipe rehabilitation project over Laton’s Swamp. One-way, alternating traffic will be directed through the work zone. Crews will be installing signs and mobilizing in the work zone. Expect brief delays. Project completion is May 29, 2018.
