The third annual Rock the River FXBG festival, scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Old Mill Park in downtown Fredericksburg, will again feature local craft beers. There are several ways to enjoy a sampling.
The Beer Garden
Beer Garden tickets, now on sale, include a branded taster glass and 10 sample tickets. The Beer Garden is open from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., in the shade of the trees. There will be games and live music.
Ticket prices are:
$25 for early bird tickets, on sale April 1 – April 30
$30 for tickets purchased online from May 1 – June 2
$35 for day of the event tickets
The VIP Experience
New for 2017 is The VIP Experience. From 2 – 6 p.m. you have access to the Beer Garden and a special VIP section in a tent adjacent to the main stage.
In addition to the branded taster glass and 10 sample tickets, you’ll also receive a branded pint glass, larger pours, one free pour, access to specialty beers, and snacks.
A limited number of The VIP Experience tickets are available at $55 a person. Additional pours will be $5 each.
All Access
You don’t need to have a beer garden ticket to enjoy a few of the great craft brews. Once the Beer Garden closes, head on down to the Main Stage. There you can purchase a branded pint glass and larger pours from select craft brewers. Enjoy your beer while listening to our main act, Midnight Spaghetti. If you don’t want additional beer or if you are the designated driver, no problem; you can still enjoy the Main Stage final act.

Rock the River FXBG is a big party kicking off the start of summer and celebrating the Rappahannock River. It coincides with the American Canoe Association’s (ACA) Great Rappahannock Whitewater Canoe Race, which marks its 37th year in 2017.
The event is free. Activities include live music, land and water races, yoga, hiking, biking, children’s activities, vendors, and more.
