Norma Woodward’s Route 66 photography is the featured exhibit at Fredericksburg’s Brush Strokes Gallery through March 2017.
Woodward’s show, which opens February 27, takes viewers on a road trip across America to visit yesteryear. There will be an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on First Friday, March 3.
Woodward said she received her first camera — a Brownie Hawkeye which she still owns — as a preteen, and was immediately captivated by photography. After her retirement as the data analyst for Fredericksburg City Schools, she finally had the time to pursue photography full time. She currently serves as president of the Fredericksburg Photography Club.
Brush Strokes Gallery, located at 824 Caroline St., will also feature member paintings in all media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, and pastels; delicately beaded jewelry; fused glass art; clocks; bowls; and small treasures from the glass displays.
