The 11th annual Community-wide Celebration of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday will be held from 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave. in Fredericksburg.
Hosted by Epsilon Rho Boule’ of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity and Partnership for Academic Excellence, the event will include:
– Music by the Fredericksburg Gospel Fest Choir, Eric Armstead & Sons, and Lafayette Upper Elementary School.
– Dance
– Spoken word presentations
– Reflections from area students and community leaders
– Activities for children
– Light refreshments
The event is free.
