Obituary for Jeffrey Sean Fitzpatrick

Jeffrey Sean Fitzpatrick, 51, a proud Fredericksburg resident for more than 20 years, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jeff was an influential member of the community in the Fredericksburg area. As the owner of the Blue and Gray Brewing Company for 14 years, Jeff paved the way for other microbreweries and small businesses to grow in the area. As a business owner, and member of the Knights of Columbus and Ancient Order of Hibernians at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Jeff had a lasting impact in the community by organizing St. Patrick’s Day parades and Oktoberfest in the area, and had a profound impact on others.

He is survived by his sons, Christian, Nathaniel, and Luke; His parents, Barbara and Philip; His brother, Philip and his wife, Am; His nephews, Gregory and Philip, and his nieces, Kaitlyn and Kristen. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kelly.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 19 at 10:30 a.m.
