“Everything you’ll find on the menu will have deep roots in each of the unique Italian regions, traditions, and cooking ethic—only simple, fresh ingredients,” the Orofino’s said. “When you walk through the gates of the courtyard, you will feel like you have stepped into Italy and be greeted with warmth and familiarity.”
Danilo was born in Palermo, Sicily, where he studied culinary arts, and restaurant and hotel management. He’s worked in New York City, then, for the last two years, managed Basilico Italian Market & Deli in Fredericksburg. He and Alona met in New York.

Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m
Saturday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Orofino is located in what was home to FoodE. That restaurant is preparing to open in their new location in the historic National Bank Building at 900 Princess Anne St.
