Fredericksburg Brew Exchange Providing Craft Beers on Tap
Mike Moore and Mike Ellis have opened Fredericksburg Brew Exchange at at 610 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg. “After seeing growler-filling stations throughout other towns in Virginia and across the country, we recognized that our community was missing this very valuable service,” the owners said. “We’re dedicated to providing the members of our community with high-quality craft beers on tap at competitive prices. Italian Station Opening in Downtown Fredericksburg
Italian Station is soon to open at 620 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg. The cafe’s offerings will include sandwiches, gelato, pastry, and coffee.

Lucky Road Run Shop Opens
Lucky Road Run Shop has opened in Eagle Village at 1277 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Fredericksburg. The running and walking specialty store is owned by Jeff Van Horn, who also owns Lucky Foot stores in Midlothian and Willow Lawn, Va.

Wild Birds Unlimited Opening in Central Park
Warren and Courtney French are opening a Wild Birds Unlimited franchise in Fredericksburg’s Central Park. The soft opening is Thursday, July 21, with a grand opening celebration planned for August 13. The store is located at 1937 Carl D. Silver Pkwy. in Fredericksburg.

Local Companies in Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) Program
Stafford based GBX Consultants, Inc., was among 13 companies which graduated from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership’s VALET Program this month. Fredericksburg based Zenith Aviation was accepted into the two-year program. Launched in January 2002, the award-winning program assists companies throughout Virginia in expanding their international business.

Mary Washington Healthcare Opens Regional Cancer Center at Montross
Mary Washington Healthcare is opening a Regional Cancer Center at Montross. Radiation therapy has not been available in the Northern Neck since 2014, when the Mid-Rivers Cancer Center closed its doors, Mary Washington Healthcare said. The Regional Cancer Center at Montross, 15394 Kings Hwy., will offer a full range of care, including diagnostics, surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and support services.

Fredericksburg Chamber Presents “A Special Transportation Report”
The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce will present “A Special Transportation Report” at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday July 20, at LifeCare Medical Transports, 1180 International Pkwy., Fredericksburg. The chamber’s presentation will be followed by a presentation from Virginia Department of Transportation Commissioner Charlie Kilpatrick about Atlantic Gateway Project. The event is free.

Fredericksburg Christmas Parade Registration Open
The 2016 Huber Motor Cars Fredericksburg Christmas Parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 3, is accepting applications. Registration is open until September 30 or when the 100 entry limit is reached, whichever comes first, said Tiffany Capehart, Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation supervisor of marketing.
