There will not be a Sandwich Invitational kick-off to Summer Restaurant Week 2016. “This year we found that restaurants didn’t need a kick-off event and have found great success with Summer Restaurant Week,” said Ann Glave, executive director of Fredericksburg Va. Main Street, sponsor of the Sandwich Invitational. “We decided to re-look at the Sandwich Invitational timeline and consider hosting the event at a slower point in the year when maybe our restaurants could use a jump-start.”
