LibertyTown Arts Workshop, 916 Liberty St.
LibertyTown’s Annual Patrons’ Show fundraiser is back for its eighth year. Come to LibertyTown to buy your art voucher starting at the First Friday reception 5 – 9 p.m. May 6. Next, visit the show throughout the month to study the work and pick your favorite pieces. Finally, come to the closing reception and drawing on May 20 to find out which of the amazing pieces you’ll take home.

Featuring paintings by two of Lord & Lily’s local art instructors.

PONSHOP, 712 Caroline St.
12th Annual The Art of Recovery, organized by members of Kenmore Club, a psychosocial rehabilitation program operated by Rappahannock Area Community Services Board. The exhibit coincides with National Mental Health Month, and will be on display through May 29, 2016. It features more than 40 pieces from 35 artists and representing several art mediums. Artwork includes original drawings, paintings, three-dimensional artwork (sculpture), textiles, and mixed media. All of the pieces will be available for purchase. Opening reception from 5 – 9 p.m. Spoken word, poetry, and live music will be held in the gallery’s back courtyard at 7:30 p.m.

Second Annual Spring Studio Celebration, featuring pottery by Trista Chapman and Neal Reed.

Water Street Studio Writing and Arts, 915 A Sophia St.
“Verses to Vision” features 12 poets who wrote a poem each, then gave them to artists who interpreted them. Both poetry and art will be on display. This will be Water Street Studio’s last show before they close. Open from 5 – 8:30 p.m.
