Fredericksburg Crime Report May 3 – 4

Fredericksburg Police crime report for May 3 and 4, 2016. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Aggravated Assault:
300 block Glover Street, 4/29, 9:15 p.m. A City resident reported that he and two friends drove to an acquaintance’s house. When they pulled in the friend’s driveway, an unknown group of people began throwing bricks and baseball bats at their vehicle. A brick came through the window and struck the driver in the face. The driver and one passenger were treated at Mary Washington hospital for minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Indecent Exposure:
800 block Caroline Street, 5/2, 6:30 p.m. A citizen reported that an unknown person approached her and began making obscene gestures. The unknown person is described as a white male, approximately 5’7” to 5’9”, 150 pounds with shoulder-length black hair. He was wearing khaki pants, a red and yellow scarf, and was possibly carrying a backpack at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

Graffiti:
Alum Springs Park, 699 Greenbrier Drive, 5/2, 8:00 a.m. A patrol officer discovered that an unknown person marked graffiti on a tree. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Larceny:
100 block Forrest Avenue, 4/18, 5:00 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person stole his bicycle from his shed. The bicycle is a red 26-inch Rawley with one blue and one black brake cable. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

100 block Longstreet Avenue, 5/3, 1:15 a.m. A citizen reported that she gave an unknown female a ride to a neighborhood. After dropping the unknown female off and looking in the backseat, she realized her purse was gone. The investigation is ongoing.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 5/3, 7:45 p.m. A citizen reported that an unknown person smashed the passenger- side window of her vehicle and stole her purse. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Arrests:
Mark Vollten, 27, of Spotsylvania County was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, second offense within five years, and reckless driving.

Kenyarna Smith, 37, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a charge of indecent exposure. Katlyn Dean, 21, of no fixed address was arrested on a City of Richmond warrant.

Davin Barksdale, 32, of Locust Grove, Virginia was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and two charges of hit and run.

Grant Robertson, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested on charges of public intoxication and trespassing in a cemetery after dark without permission.

Charles Smith, 37, of Stafford County was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
