Join the art galleries and studios of Fredericksburg for the First Friday Art Walk on April 1, 2016. Featured artists and studio hours are listed below. Opening receptions are from 6 – 9 p.m., unless otherwise indicated.

3rd Annual regional exhibition of fine crafts and fiber arts. Juried by Trudi Van Dyke. Juror’s talk at 7p.m.

“Figure Enlightment” an abstract nude multimedia exhibit showcasing art by college professor Michael Dean, painting student Sharon Blancard, and Lyric Soullay Photography’s Sarah Jones.

10th Annual “Feast for the Eyes,” a month long exhibit of art about food. Also, “Edible Art Competition” will take place during the First Friday opening reception. Edible art awards will be handed out at 8 p.m. Open from 5 – 9 p.m.

OddBox Studios, 526-1 Wolfe St. (Not participating in First Friday.)

PONSHOP, 712 Caroline St.
“In Bloom” a collection of spring-inspired work featuring oil paintings by Fredericksburg painter, Jenna Anderson. 
Opening reception from 6 – 10 p.m.

Sophia Street Studios, 1104 Sophia St.
Second Annual Spring Studio Celebration, featuring past studio artists. Sophia Street Studio will also be hosting a benefit raffle for a chance to win a large covered jar made by Phil Chapman and decorated by Trista Chapman. Tickets are $20 each, with money going to benefit ALS research. Tickets can be purchased at Sophia Street Studios and LibertyTown Arts.

Kybecca is hosting a special exhibit for the Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault. The Un-Mask Sexual Violence Artesian Mask Gallery kickoff event is from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at Kybecca, 402 William St., in downtown Fredericksburg. The event will feature a signature cocktail and a professional photographer “photo booth” for supporters to model the masks and promote the event on social media.
