Two new traffic signals will be activated on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, on Route 606 (Mudd Tavern Road) in Spotsylvania County at the Interstate 95 northbound and southbound ramps at Exit 118/Thornburg.
The traffic signals will be placed in flash mode Tuesday morning. The signals will display a flashing yellow signal for traffic on Mudd Tavern Road. A flashing red signal will display for I-95 ramp traffic.
The signals will go into full operation at about noon Thursday, April 14.
The traffic signal equipment being activated next week is temporary. Permanent traffic signal equipment will be installed as part of the upcoming Virginia Department of Transportation project to replace the I-95 overpass on Mudd Tavern Road and improve the road east of the interstate.
