14th Annual Blue & Grey Brewing St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration

The 14th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 12 noon. and includes fire trucks, classic cars, community organizations, Irish dancers, horses, local pageant winners, and the Easter bunny. The parade ends at Blue & Gray Brewing, where food and beer services begins at the brewery following the parade. Irish music and Irish dancers will be featured.
Free admission.

en Route! A Touring Dance Project

Women’s History Month Speaker Nancy Redd

Nancy Redd is currently a host on “HuffPost Live,” The Huffington Post’s Webby Award-winning streaming network. Two weeks after graduating from Harvard University with an honors degree in Women’s Studies, Ms. Redd earned the title of Miss Virginia, going on to become swimsuit winner and top 10 at Miss America. This experience became the impetus for her two non-fiction award-winning books Body Drama and Diet Drama.
Her lecture is free and open to the public.

Open Mic Night St. Patrick’s Day Edition at Culpeper’s State Theatre

The 65th Annual Fredericksburg Art Show & Sale

Arena Stock Car Racing

Drivers aged 8 – 13 and adults in the pro division race one-half-scale stock cars around a custom high-banked track that barely fits inside a hockey rink. Arrive early for the free driver meet and greet. Doors open one hour prior to race.

Church Hill Irish Festival

Church Hill, 25th Street and E. Broad Street , Richmond, Va.
Irish musicians, bagpipers, dancers and more descend on the Region’s Church Hill neighborhood for this annual weekend-after-St.-Patrick’s-Day event. In addition to great entertainment, there will be plenty of family fun, including children’s games and Irish-themed crafts. More than 30 Irish vendors will be in attendance.
$5 admission at the gate.

Eggsplosion

Children will enjoy a day of activities, including an egg hunt. The $10 per child admission fee includes all activities. No charge for adults. Food will be available for purchase. In case of inclement weather, the event may be moved to Sunday.

4th Annual Doggie Easter Hunt

Dogs on leash hunt for prizes, treats, and toys. When the dog touches or sniffs a treats, prize or toy, it goes into your basket. This year there will also be a Doggie Fashion Show — Dress your dog up in their Easter finest, walk the runway, and compete for awesome prizes in “Big Dog” and “Little Dog” categories. Half of all registration will be given to the Fredericksburg SPCA. All dog parents are required to sign release acknowledging their dog(s) is current on shots and healthy enough to participate. Dogs must be 12 weeks old. A small dog area will be available for dogs less than 15 pounds. Pre-registration is recommended. On-site registration will be available if space permits. $5 for up to two dogs.

5th Annual Beeping Egg Hunt

Belmont’s annual event is for visually impaired children and their families. Stratford Hall’s Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, March 26, 11 a.m.
Stratford Hall, Birthplace of Robert E. Lee, 483 Great House Rd. Stratford, Va. 22558
More than 4,000 eggs will be hidden on the large oval field in front of the Great House. Areas will be roped off for each age group: 0-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Prizes will be awarded in each age group, and for finding a golden egg. During the “egg tabulations,” the Fraternal Order of Police will provide a hot dog lunch. The hunt will begin at 11 a.m. sharp, so plan to arrive early. Kids need to bring a basket or other container. This free event does not include a Great House tour.
