FREDERICKSBURG – Road conditions vary significantly across the 14-county Fredericksburg District Friday morning, March 4, 2016. Conditions are clear on Interstate 95 in the Fredericksburg area, but roads are snow-covered in Lancaster and Northumberland counties.

Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time and use caution when traveling this morning. Before starting a trip, travelers can check 511Virginia for real-time road conditions in their region of Virginia.

In the Fredericksburg area, I-95 and primary roads are clear with bare pavement.

Roads in the Northern Neck are in minor condition in King George, Westmoreland and Richmond counties, with mostly bare pavement and isolated patches of snow and slush. Roads in Lancaster and Northumberland counties are mostly snow-covered, due to heavier snow accumulation.
