Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were the winners of Virginia’s Super Tuesday Primary on March 1, 2016.

Hillary Clinton – 503,359 votes, 64.30%
Bernie Sanders – 275,428 votes, 35.18%

Marco Rubio – 326,904 votes, 31.98%
Ted Cruz – 170,777 votes, 16.71%
John Kasich – 96,472 votes, 9.44%
Ben Carson – 60,088 votes, 5.88%
Several candidates dropped out of the race after the ballots had been printed. Martin O’Malley, Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, Jim Gilmore, Rick Santorum and Lindsey Graham all received votes, even though they were no longer in the race.
For example, 59 people in Fredericksburg voted for candidates who were no longer running; 15 in the Democratic primary and 44 in the Republican primary.
